A day at Sea aboard Mundo Marino Catamaran in Valencia

Never again! Worst catamaran trip ever. We booked the catamaran trip from Denia. There was a huge group of french people on board, they thought that it was a private/party boat. Music was extremely loud for the duration of the entire journey (6 hours). Everyone on the boat was unhappy because of the french group. They were super drunk, partying, dancing, even pole dancing. Because they were so drunk 1 women even trew up in the toilet. The staff said nothing to calm the group down, they served them more and more alcohol to make them drunk. We wrote an email to the organisation, were we asked for a refund because this was not like the information on the website (we paid 170 euro for 3 persons what would be a relaxing day at sea) They said that it was their fault and ofcourse that it was not a partyboat, they offered us 10% discount for a next trip. Ridiculous!!! This is not how you treat customers!

So we booked a so called 5 hour excursion on a catamaran. Supposed to leave altea harbour at 11am.but actually set off at 11.30. Trip included food and one drink. We sailed for half hour down the coast and could still see the harbour at Altea from where we anchored. Not one announcement was made in any language to explain what was happening. People just looked at each other wondering whether to go for swim or not. Finally got the message when ladder went down. In and out of boat for 2 hours then wondered where we would go next. Turned out no where. We spent the rest of the time floating on a red hot boat. Then the horn sounded. No verbal announcement. Apparently lunch was ready. Bit of salad lump of stale bread and a really over cooked piece of pork and chicken that you could re sole your shoe with. Drinks 9 euros for a gin and lemonade....scandalous. To top this, ALL the black antislip tape was worn smooth. People we're hitting the deck hard including myself and my 12 year old granddaughter. To sum up if your idea of a boat trip is to travel a mile from harbour, float in the water for 5 hours (actually our trip lasted 4.5 hours) in red hot sun half a mile off shore. Which in our case was just across from the villa we were staying in, then this is for you. However if your idea of a TRIP is to travel to at least 2 or three mooring spots and be served basic but EDIBAL food and be told what is happening as a courtesy... Maybe the odd joke or banter thrown in then don't bother with this one you won't get it ....55 euros per head completely wasted. This company has no idea how to entertain guests and delivers the most basic trip. I've looked at their replies to people and they say we have run the same trip for many years and people return. I beg to differ, I very much doubt they return. Many other people come along like us and are taken for a small ride but No one comes back again. Once they have your money it's just on to the next suckers.... unfortunately there are too many of us and they have very little competition
