  • Chichen Itza, Chichen Itza, Yucatan, Mexico
    Our first stop is Chichen Itza. We'll arrive at about opening time so besides having the archaeological site for your own you'll also avoid the heat. A multilingual certified guide (+- 1 1/2hrs) will explain you about the Itzáes, the ancient inhabitants of Chichén Itzá, their impressive 30m/98ft high Castle of Kukulcán (and its solar calendar reflected in it), the largest Ball Court in Mesoamerica and the Temple of the Warriors. After the guided visit you’ll have +- 1hr free time.

  • Cenote Yokdzonot, Yokdzonot, Yucatan, Mexico
    After visiting the archaeological site, we’ll go to a remote cenote. A quiet place to rest or take a refreshing dip. There we will have lunch made by the local Mayan women community.

  • Izamal, Izamal, Yucatan, Mexico
    This yellow city with its 16th century convent constructed on a Mayan pyramid and having the second largest atrium in the world, is one of the first Magical Towns of Mexico. We will show you some Mayan structures you still can climb. One of these is the third largest building in Mesoamerica (in terms of volume). Before we head back to Valladolid, you´ll have the opportunity to admire the beautiful work of one of the very talented local artisans Izamal offers: - Cocoyol: jewelry made from local fruit seeds and spine of henequen. - Miniatures: small-scale artwork. - Papier-mâché: amazing work with mâché paper. - Woodcarving: quite common artwork in the Mayaregion

Just for reference we are a couple coming from United Kingdom. I highly recomend MexiGo tours to any individual or group who wants to know the mayan history of Mexico and specially about Chichén Itzá and Izamal. The tour is very well organized to get you the chance to visit Chichén Itzá early in the morning which makes it easier and allows you to avoid the warmest hours with much less people around than a few hours later. Then they bring you to a very nice cenote and provide you with a nice lunch includes in the pack. This is good for you to get refreshed to continue to the last part of the tour at Izamal. Gilberto was spot on, a ver kind guy full of knowledge about the mayan history and willing to answer any questio you may have about Mexico and Mayan traditions/history. Thank you MexiGo tours.

The cenote was very cool, but while we were swimming, our passports and cash were all stolen. There are lockers at the cenote, which we would have used, except the the tour guide assured us they were unnecessary because he would be safeguarding our valuables. When I reached out to MexiGo for help, they ridiculed me for believing the operator that our money would be safe (??). Anyway, it's probably a lovely experience if you exercise a bit more caution, but if you're looking for a tour operator that has your back, it's probably best to keep looking.

Día espectacular. Nuestro guía Gilverto un 10. Super atento y amable, y con una gran experiencia y sabiduría sobre la cultura maya. Hemos disfrutado muchísimo con todas sus explicaciones y con el tour en general. Repetiría mañana mismo si pudiera! Sin duda voy a recomendar a mis amigos que vengan a Valladolid esta agencia y en especial a Gilverto. Gracias por todo ????
