After a short twenty-minute ferry crossing you will reach Mgarr harbour, which immediately sets the pace to Gozo’s unique atmosphere. Your guide will lead you around the Megalithic temples of Ggantija, the oldest free-standing monuments in the world, pre-dating the Pyramids of Egypt, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site (two of the seven Megalithic Temples of Malta). This will be followed by visits to the medieval citadel in Victoria, the fjord-like bay at Xlendi and Dwejra. Gozo is well known for its crafts, particularly handmade lace and knitted garments. Visitors cannot fail to be impressed by the island’s lush countryside, its serene atmosphere and how different it is from the larger island of Malta.

Naomi coped well with the very busy port and with managing a large group. Good knowledge. Good lunch. Ideal trip for a snapshot of Gozo.

A mixed day. The ferry over to Gozo was chaotic. We had to queue for ages to get onboard with little explanation from the guide. The stop at the temple was too brief. There wasn’t even time to look at the museum, we marched straight through it. There was a pointless stop at Dwerja to look at the Blue Window, a natural feature arch of rock, with no boat tours running. The tour stopped there for a pointless half hour.
Lunch was terrible at Sea Shells. It was a disgusting fixed menu of soup/pasta, chicken/omelette and the only edible bit was the ice cream for pudding. The guide didn’t even eat with us, likely eating decent food elsewhere.
The afternoon got better after that with a stop in Victoria where we had free time.
Overall a long day with not a lot achieved. and a truly disgusting lunch! You don’t need an organised tour to visit Gozo. Next time I wouldn’t book one and would just do it myself via public transport!

Saw a number of sights but it was all rather rushed - it would be good to extend the time spent on Gozo by 2 hours and accept a later return time. In particular we wanted to spend longer at the Ggantija temples and the Cittadella. Our guide and drivers were good and the tour was efficiently run.
