Our guide never showed up! We waited and waited with two very excited children to do a fun family tour, and she never showed up, answered her cell, or answered a text! Waste of time. We did get a refund from Viator (how we booked it), but our whole day was planned around this and we were very disappointed.

We travelled as a family of six with our two kids (aged 7 and 4) and grandparents, and this tour with Marco was one of the highlights of our trip to Venice. From the moment we met, it was clear that Marco was extremely passionate about the history and stories behind the beautiful city of Venice, and the way he explained things as we walked completely captivated our children (who were otherwise not looking forward to a two hour walking tour up and down the many bridges of Venice). Marco kept all of us engaged and entertained with his sense of humour, and answered nearly all of our questions with ease. (You can tell you have a good guide when he is excited by questions!) The small tablet he had on hand to show pictures of Venice in the past was also very exciting for the children. As we walked by several giant tour groups using headsets, we were convinced that we made the right choice as this tour gave us a personalised experience where the kids were able to interact with the guide seamlessly.
The tour went by so quickly, and Marco set us up with some good recommendations for lunch nearby. Would highly recommend this for anyone travelling with kids and wants a small cozy tour to really understand Venice!
We always double-check the availability with our local partners for each booking. Even though this is usually a swift process, it can take up to 24 hours. Once this process is completed you will receive your voucher or ticket by email. If our local partner is not able to confirm your booking we will offer you the best possible alternative. If the new date and/or time doesn’t fit your itinerary, we will reimburse the full amount paid.
