I was traveling with college students. We enjoyed this hands on Carnevale experience!! We each chose a blank mask to paint. There were many options of paint and sizes of brushes. We could have stayed two hours! They helped us dry the masks and packed them in bags for safe carrying.

Good not great. Felt more like a here’s some paints and paper mache mask, have fun. There was no history on Venice mask making or how it evolved. Expected at least 10 minutes on masks as a part of Venician culture. Didn’t even get that. We had fun painting the masks but would’ve loved for my half Italian half Irish daughter to have learned a bit about Venice through the creative experience.

This was a great experience and our instructor was fantastic. She gave us helpful hints on how to decorate our masks and allowed us to take our time.
