The excursion then continues to the island of Burano, famous for its colourful houses and the hand-crafted lace works, true works of art created by the local ladies. Head back to Venice after this fascinating boat trip in the Venetian Lagoon. The stops on the islands will be about an hour in Murano and a hour and a half in Burano.

Be impressed by the tranquility and calmness of the elderly ladies embroidering original Burano lace on their tombolo (or lace pillow). Literally a slice of Heaven.

    Excellent presentation of authentic glass making in Murano by a professional glass blower. Beautiful town and history as well as lace making in Burano. A favorite with my teenage children!
