Tourists can hardly see anything except a public box. I think it's not just the ticket price. Tourists can't really experience the beauty of this opera house. It's much worse than what I experienced in the opera houses in Barcelona or Vienna. I don't recommend it!

The guide had good information, but unfortunately spoke so softly that many of us couldn’t hear him. There was a rehearsal going on at the main stage which we were able to view for a few minutes from a balcony box. Also, plenty of time to wander around on our own after the guide finished his presentation. We then enjoyed the lovely cafe there.

This was a beautiful theater and worth the visit. The tour guide gave a brief intro about the building while we were on the front steps then took us through the foyer entry and into the theater, where we sat while she gave us more about the history of the building. There was no backstage tour but we went up to the VIP box, which was very ornate and impressive. We also looked at some smaller recital types of rooms as well. Then, we were free to stay and take pictures or leave. A very informative and impressive tour and theater.
