  • In case of high tides or religious ceremonies preventing access to the interior of the Basilica, an extended tour of the outside of the basilica will be given instead.
  • The Doge’s Palace may also occasionally be closed to the public due to strikes, exceptional closures, state visits, or other special occasions. In that event, a possible alternative may be the Correr Museum in St. Mark’s Square with the Imperial Rooms and Venetian Collection. Entrance included in the Doge’s Palace ticket.
  • Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough participants to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
  • The number of admission tickets available for the interior of St. Mark's Basilica is limited and operates on a first-come first-served basis. In the event of no availability, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.

I had the distinct pleasure of taking my 2nd tour in Venice with Antonio. We met back in 2017 during my first visit and when I made the decision to return with friends last month I knew there was only one person I wanted to guide us during our stay. Antonio goes out of his way to ensure his clients enjoy the most immersive experiences possible. His historical knowledge and insights aren’t just things learned from books, they come from his passion as a Venetian and his love for the city itself. He caters his tours to your individual needs, including stops along the way for gelato, lunch, coffee, shopping, or whatever you might want. He literally knows EVERYONE, so if you want it he knows where to go. He’s made both of my experiences in Venice unforgettable. And I hope I have the chance for a 3rd tour!

During our 2+ week tour of europe and many tour guides and experiences, Venice was last stop before heading back to the states. Antonio was the stand out, we were fortunate to have our best guide of our trip last. His tour of the Doge’s Palace was a highlight — he didn’t just recite facts, he told stories that made the history feel real and fascinating. He broke down the art, architecture, and Venetian culture in a way that was super approachable and actually interesting. Truly masterful explanations of the artwork and storytelling in Doge's Palace. So good even casuals who were not in our tour couldn't help themselves to stop by for a listen. He is a rare find in terms of knowledge of his countries history and storytelling. Visiting St. Mark’s Basilica with him was equally incredible. The way he described the golden mosaics and the church’s background gave us a whole new appreciation for it. We also really enjoyed wandering through the quieter parts of Venice with him. He took us to spots we never would’ve discovered on our own and filled the walk with fun, local insights. I would say this well above an average tour of Venice and most certainly worth the cost. Very glad we chanced upon Antonio as our tour guide and now have a lasting appreciation for Venetian culture and arts.

Antonio provided the most amazing experience for my wife and me. Having a guide who was born in Venice, who has tremendous local knowledge and local relationships was incredible. He has a great amount of pride in his city and his historical knowledge is truly impressive. Clearly he does this because he loves it. Without a doubt the best tour we have ever taken. We highly recommend this tour - and guide - to anyone who wants to see Venice with an insider who is a true gentleman.
