See the ‘City of Love’ at its most charming on this 2-hour sunset cruise in Venice. Climb aboard a traditional Venetian boat, and then, with an expert skipper-guide, glide across the Venetian Lagoon. Cruise through St Mark's Basin and alongside the Venetian Lido, passing some of the area’s idyllic islands. Then, unwind with half a bottle of Prosecco and watch the sky morph into beautiful shades of red, orange and pink. Numbers are limited to 11 people per boat, ensuring a more intimate, small-group experience.

Loved the boat and Leonardo, our captain and life-long Venetian who gave us not only historical information during our relaxing ride around the lagoon islands, but also told of his uniquely Venetian experiences as a boy growing up in Venice. He was great! Seeing Venice, Lido, Murano, Cemetery Island, and the others from the water gave us an added appreciation for the area - and some great photo shots. If you want a relaxing ride out on the water with some wine and a great captain, this one should be on your to-do list.

The meeting place is not conveniently located for most visitors to Venice. We ended up being 8 minutes late and the guide refused to take us - even though we could see him in his boat from the dock only 30-40 feet away when we arrived. It was certainly our fault for being late but the guide was rude on the phone to both me and to my wife. He claimed he couldn't take us because he had other customers - but all three of us in our group could see there were no other passengers in the boat. We've done many tours through Viator over the years and have almost always had great experiences. In this case though, it felt like we were scammed/that the operator took advantage of our being slightly late to pocket the nonrefundable fee.
