*** Access to all the sights is included in the price of the excursion *** This tour will bring you by van to Vianden where you will visit the famous medieval castle and take the chairlift offering magnificent views over the town. Afterwards the tour will cross the Luxembourgish "Little Switzerland" to stop at the "Schiessentümpel" waterfall. After some pictures the trip will continue to Echternach where you will visit the basilica and the old town. On the way back to Luxembourg City, the tour will pass through the Moselle valley where you will have beautiful views on the vineyards of the Luxembourg and German Moselle river. After the visit of a winery and a wine tasting, the driver will drive you back to your hotel. This tour is operated by 'Visit Luxembourg Tours' which was established in Luxembourg in 2016 with the aim to promote social and cultural tourism trough Luxembourg country which is one of the biggest historical centre of Europe.

We did it ALL!!! Started out with a walking tour where we learned a lot about history and the government. 48% of the people living in Luxembourg are ex-pats from 200 countries!!! The buses are free y’all. Free. And hybrids. And clean. Ken was our guide. I appreciated his enthusiasm, his jokes and his helpfulness. Then we went to a castle! It just happened to be the Medeivel Festival at Castle Vianden. It was amazing!! Next we went on a chair lift that took us way above the castle. So beautiful. Next, a small waterfall and some lovely hiking spots. Then the oldest town in Luxembourg. These are short stops but the views and scenery is fantastic. Then to a winery. Phew. I’m beat. And it was well worth it! I will say this is quite a bit of walking and the baby hill up to the castle is steep. Definitely wear comfortable shoes.

Excellent one day overview of the country. Lots of varied stops, from the old town of the capital to nature reserves to a castle to the oldest town in the country, capped off with an excellent stop at a winery. Ken and Christian were both amazing and extremely helpful. Both went above and beyond in terms of service and I would gladly take their tour again if I came back to Luxembourg. As an added note, earlier reviews mention a lack of water. Happy to report that this is fixed and now still water is freely offered at multiple points during the tour.

The entire trip was perfect. What a wonderful way to spend the day and really see Luxembourg. Definitely recommend.
