"Þórsmörk has a spot in each Icelanders heart. There's just nothing like it..." Þórsmörk is an incredibly beautiful nature reserve, situated in the heart of South Iceland nestled among the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull and Tindfjallajökull.  On our hike we take in the astonishing view over Þórsmörk, Mýrdalsjökull glacier and the highlands. We will also hike up to Gígjökull glacier where we observe the effects of the 2010 Eyjafjallajökull eruption and breath in the purifying glacial air. Þórsmörk is a spectacular place to visit, it has it's own kind of feel to it. It is Icelandic nature to the core.

So many thanks to Southcoast Adventures for this breathtaking trip! Our expectations were blown away from the very start. Quickly after meeting our guide Vidar, all worries of the expedition were set aside. Vidar was informative and so fun! The equipment was in great repair and well suited for the task. The accommodations at the mountain hut far exceeded our expectations, and then of course there is Iceland itself. WOW! Our trip was nothing short of amazing and much of that had to do with Southcoast Adventure. Vidar made us completely comfortable and chose activities that challenged us without distracting from the awesome surroundings. Not only are we already planning our next visit, but we highly recommend Southcoast Adventures for all of the excursions. We look forward to more trips! Thanks to Southcoast Adventure for doing what they do and helping people explore this amazing country!
