About The Knife Making Workshop Learn to make a knife under my guidance and supervision, and receive instructions on finishing your very own knife and leather sheath, using natural materials that I have been collecting from Icelandic nature through the years – the same as were used by the Vikings.

I had such an enjoyable, educational and relaxing experience in the Viking Knife-Making Workshop. It will be a good-feeling memory of my travel to Iceland and a beautiful knife to take home. Our instructor Pali (sp?) was so patient, talented and friendly. It is near the Golden Circle too so we continued on the Golden Circle after we finished our workshop. A thoroughly enjoyable day!

We had a fabulous day, making knives was good fun, seeing what Palli makes himself, hearing stories about Iceland and eating local food for lunch. We would definitely recommend this experience as something different to do and bringing home a wonderful memory of our time in Iceland.
