This private tour is to give You a general understanding of Vilnius Old Town history and culture. Tick the must-see boxes for Old Town as well as the artistic Uzupis district. You will start your walk at the Cathedral square – in the original place where the city of Vilnius was founded. You will learn that in its long 700 year old history Vilnius has a lot to tell. Through centuries it transformed from rural pagan town to a fully modern city of Northern Europe. Proceed into the old town and will visit the narrowest street of Vilnius, Presidential Palace, Vilnius university, and its surroundings. You will leave the city through the only remaining gate, Gates of Dawn, of the former defensive wall, You will then stroll to admire a fascinating Vilnius panorama from the hill of Barbacan.

    Let us take You through the main sights of Vilnius Old Town that we enjoy passing ourselves every time we show them. You will be guided through impressive Gothic and Baroque churches, our Cathedral square, Presidential Palace, Vilnius University, Jewish Quarter. You will pass through the Gates of Dawn and City Gate remaining from medieval fortifications. You will walk the narrow streets that turn into an open air gallery called Artworks on Literatu str. and finally you might get a chance to spot some locals drying their laundry in the the narrowest street of Vilnius. Get your cameras ready to capture some panoramic views of Vilnius as well as architecture and bizarre art pieces. Excellent guide. Victorija made the history of the city come alive with plenty of facts but told it in a humorous way. The time went by very quickly. Highly recommended .
