The tour includes a visit to the village museum of San Sperate, the birthplace of the recently disappeared Pinuccio Sciola, artist and sculptor of the stones (he could magically make them play). Along the streets, we will find several of his works and his biggest import: the murals. These are paintings on the walls of the houses they tell about the history and the daily habits of the village. Every corner of the country breathes art and culture that meet with the kindness and availability of the inhabitants.

    From this place, we are going to take a walk trough the center of this small villlage, so that you are going to admire the beautiful murales, sculpture and you will find out how people from this place live their lives. If you are lucky you are going to have the chance to meet and talk with one of the centenary people that live in San Sperate.

Claudia and Barbara were great! We learned so much about the area, the people and the culture of San Sperate—as well as the significance of the murals throughout the town. Fascinating! And highly recommended!

Incredible adventure with tour guides Claudia and Barbara. They picked me up at my hotel in their vintage Panda and we ventured to San Sperate. What a magical village! Claudia shared her knowledge of the many murals in the village. Along the way, due to our tour guides’ relationships, locals stopped us to say hello and they invite us in to see their homes and stopped to chat. Do not miss this tour. It was one of the highlights of my trip to Sardinia!
