Cockburn's large aging warehouse is the most extensive in the entire historic center of Vila Nova de Gaia, housing 6,518 Port Hulls that age under its huge roof, being one of the only ones to have its own crew of coopers. Cockburn's Ports are carefully aged in oak casks and ferries and are accompanied by a team of tasters and oenologists until they reach their ideal maturity. The impressive scale of Cockburn's warehouse allows you to house a large amount of Aging Special Reserve, to develop its unique style and perfect balance, acquired by more time of aging in wood than any other Reserve Port.

Visit of Cockburn winery with Old Tawny tasting. The tasting specifically includes, over 20 years of the winery, a 30 years of Dow's and 40 years of Graham's. Visit in Italian, bookable from the website. Recommended.

We really enjoyed the very atmospheric tour. The young guide was very engaging and knowledgeable and keen to answer our questions. The vast main cellar is a tremendously atmospheric place and the tasting reminded me how much I love port!

A big, atmospheric lodge with amazing scenes. The guided tour was a little quick and another group chased us around. It would be better to hold in more places and soak up the atmosphere. More information on history and process would have been good too. Could make more of the view of the unique barrel-making room which was not easy to see. Tasting experience was good.
