The zoo is approximately 1 hour south of Rovaniemi by car. Upon arrival, you will take a stroll through the zoo, where you can see the interesting animals and birds that live at the "top of the world!!". You will be able to dine in the cozy restaurant, visit all kinds of souvenir shops including the Fazer candy/chocolate shop and the wine shop, where they sell unique wines made from wild berries found locally, such as cloudberries, lingonberries and bilberries.

Recommend Helios tours, very knowledgeable guide and a good day out at Ranua. Lots of animals and birds around despite the weather

Se siete di passaggio lo consiglio ma giusto per vedere rapaci, orso polare, renne e altri animali tipici finlandesi. Se partite da rovaniemi sinceramente il prezzo pagato e la strada percorsa, non ne vale la pena. Lo zoo è grande (per fortuna) e spesso gli animali più piccoli manco li vedi. Ottimo invece il ristorante dentro. È all you can eat con piatti tipici finlandesi e non, molto alla buona (selfie service) a circa 18 euro a persona con bevande incluse (no bibite). Consiglio cmq di farci un giretto ma sarà il freddo patito e la grandezza del posto il tutto è risultato un po troppo dispersivo da rimanerne leggermente deluso.
