Pickup from Hotel, Drive to Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony-Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening "Beating the Retreat" ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. Transfer Back to Hotel/Amritsar.

Used their services to get to the Wagah border ceremony, booked and paid for through Viator. The driver arrived early to collect us from our hotel, parked in a good place at the border car park near the exit to avoid traffic after the ceremony, and drive safely. The driver was also friendly with good English, and pointed out a few notable places along the journey, as well as telling us how to get to the correct seating area.

Gurpreet was prompt, polite, careful and helpful providing advice on what to see and do. Apart from driving us to various attractions in and around the city he kindly escorted us to the Golden Temple and kitchens. Additionally when our train to Kalka was cancelled at the last minute he drove us all the way from Amritsar enabling us to catch our morning Toy train. Thank you for a most enjoyable tour.
