    Sorry to be a buzz kill but we’ve always had great experiences with trolley tours in 30 years of travel, until this one. I tried to contract the tour operator with a couple questions beforehand and no response. We arrived 25 minutes early only to find no one at the place which told us to go somewhere else. We go to the umbrella stand and again no one was present. When she eventually showed up of course she said the trolley just left and there would be a 45 minute wait for the next, even though we originally showed up 25 minutes early! The communication and direction was lackluster. Then, while getting on the trolley tons of cruise ship passengers bombarded our trolley and there were strangers literally seated on us. I had no choice but to stand up for the entire 2 hour ride which wasn’t easy as it took main roads and balance was an issue. Others on the trolley were complaining as well. In short the trolley driver was great but the logistics and communication were poor and we felt was a waste of money.

    It’s a great way to see the Waikiki area if you are short on time. A big drawback was the meeting spot details. We wasted an hour looking for it and ended up catching the last trolley without being able to get off at any spots.

    Learning all the Island's history, our tour guide Humu was very knowledgeable and made the trip very eventful.
