This tour was arguably the highlight of our trip to Namibia. Our skipper Holger for the boat tour was amazing and fun! He was able to have one of the seals jump up on the boat and let us pet him! The pelicans also got close up close and personal with us as they are obviously familiar with people at this point. Holger was great at pointing out and detailing all the spots, as well as the wildlife, which we were able to get close to. It’s a guarantee to see the fur seals, but we also saw some dolphins and a MASSIVE sunfish. Lunch was fantastic and was highlighted by the fresh oysters that were brought in that morning.
After the boat tour, we went out on the dune excursion with Adri, who was just fantastic! He’s extremely knowledgeable and personable making the drive one to remember. He was able to show us all the wildlife possible (it’s the desert so there’s not a ton of it), and got us close to some springbok, lizards and oryx. The best part (obviously) was the dunes!! They were stunning and Adri made sure to take us to all the best spots where some other drivers weren’t so we were able to get some perfect pictures without a crowd. We had a nice picnic on top of the dunes overseeing the harbor before we headed back.
Overall, there aren’t enough stars to give this excursion, and if you’re looking for one of the most unique and stunning trip, please book with theses guys as they have it 100% down!

Did this full day tour from our cruise ship. We began with the 4x4 experience in the sand dunes and absolutely loved it. This was followed by the boat trip in the afternoon. The boat was purpose-built for the trip and was excellent. We saw thousands of cape fur seals and I even stroked a wild pelican which was encouraged to land on the boat. Overall a really fun day out.
