Enjoy a morning boat cruise to an island nature reserve, a private audience with rare native birds and a guided walk to view a lake on top of an island!! Enjoy an hour lunch break at one of Wanaka's many cafes (guests expense) before embarking on an exclusive 4WD adventure exploring some of New Zealand's most spectacular backcountry covering terrain most locals have never seen. Breathtaking views of the Southern Alps whilst exploring private farm roads. See Red Deer, sheep, Angus Cattle up close and grazing in their natural environment. Maximum group size is 12 travelers.

WOW What a day full of breathtaking scenery and educational and captivating commentary from seasoned locals who were our guides for the day. Neil for the 4wd adventure and Chris for the Lake tour and eco adventure on the island of Mou Woha. The team were very caring and looked after us as though we were royalty. Aside from breathtaking views of the area and of a variety of animals, our tour guide, George Scott was outstanding! As a retired sheep and deer "farmer" himself, his knowledge of the local farming was phenomenal, not to mention how patient he was with our photography requests for stops. Tea at the top of the mountain will be forever etched in our minds! As a world traveler, I can honestly say this one was an extraordinary experience. Our thanks to Ridgeline and to George!

The morning consisted of a boat trip to Mou Waho, an island and nature reserve. We climbed to the highest spot for spectacular views. Our guide was very passionate about the flora and fauna and he made it a fun day. In the afternoon Mike took us in his 4WD to the Wanaka Station high country. He was an excellent and skilled driver who provided lots of interesting facts and insights. The views were incredible, This white knuckle drive is not for the faint of heart. We loved it!
