If you're staying in and around Wanaka I will pick you up from your accommodation and drop you home again safe. This means you can enjoy the whole Wanaka region safely as I worry about the driving and logistics for you.

    Get to see the beautiful lake Hawea and river that connects it to lake Dunstan. The Hawea Whitewater Park is a real ride for those that brave the cold water. It's Free to use and has two different grades and a smaller wave at the top, which is fun to learn. The lower or bottom wave is bigger and this is where the pro's come to practice their kayak skills or surfing tricks. On any day you might see three or four people lined up to take their turn.

We are so glad we made a last minute decision to book this tour. We cannot fault it at all! Mark was brilliant to deal with. He gave us great directions, tips and instructions. The bikes were easy to ride. Marks suggestions on food along the way were great. Our only criticism is that the ride was so scenic we wanted to stop and take photos constantly! :-)

This self-guided tour of Wanaka is the perfect way to get up close with the town's natural beauty. We'd never ridden e-bikes before but they were very easy to pick up and so much fun to ride around. Mark has impeccable organisation and communication and checked on us throughout the day. Can't recommend this tour enough. Do it! Thanks Mark!

We arrived in Wanaka with no set plans, so decided to pay a visit to the isite centre for some recommendations. That turned out to be the best decision of the holiday, because they put us in touch with Mark from the General Adventure Company. Mark turned out to be one of the nicest, easiest going people you could meet and good company too. He picked us up from our accomodation the next morning and drove us to the start of the Lake Hawea to Wanaka trail, making sure we had everything we needed to guide ourselves back to town. The last instruction given was to take as long as we wanted and to call when we had had enough, so he could pick us up from wherever we were. Eight hours later, after enjoying the ever-changing and always stunning landscape of the area, we decided to finish the day at one of Wanaka's excellent breweries, that Mark had recommended. When we were ready, Mark picked us up, genuinely excited that we had enjoyed the day, and even offered to take us by the supermarket before returning us to our accomodation. If you want to e-bike around the spectacular trails of Wanaka, don’t hesitate to make Mark your first call, it was truly the best day of our holiday.
