Lloyd’s expert driving easily negotiated the rough terrain so that we could appreciate the stunning beauty around ever turn. He was able to answer all of our questions about the area because of his years visiting and living here. Since my husband & I grew up on farms in the United States, we found visiting a New Zealand farm of this size fascinating. Lloyd’s personal experience with the deer industry in New Zealand enhanced our experience. I also appreciated the thoughtfulness of locating an outhouse at the halfway point of the trip and providing a wilderness tea break!

Second time around the experience was as good as the first. Great way to see the fantastic views around Wanaka. The 4x4 element is an added bonus to give a feel how difficult the terrain is. Brent was a perfect guide giving a knowledgeable and interesting outline of the sheep farm and geography of the area. The tour of the settlement d showed how tough life was at the outset. The coffee and cake at the top certainly a cafe with a view.

We had a fantastic time with Lloyd. He knows so much about the farm station and area. We felt very safe with him driving us through this ‘up and down’ landscape. We had a nice tea with a stunning view over Lake Wanaka, saw lots of different animals (big & small), checked a stoat trap and we were lucky to see some shee shearing at the end of our tour. We had a great morning and highly recommend this tour!
