Segway Tour Warsaw: Old Town Tour - 1,5-Hour of Magic!

My colleague and I were here for a business trip for only two nights. We decided to try this tour and it was the best thing we have done. Przemek was an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable and incredibly engaging and so full of passion about guiding. He is a lot of fun and a real pleasure to engage with. Would highly recommend Przemek and his company.

Przemek is a very professional while nice guide, he is caring to teach me skills for Segway, while he is very knowledgable for the history and culture of Warsaw. He could answer detaily for every historical questions I asked, and he talks history in a very passionate way. It is the best way to explore the city with Segway, such an convienient while easy handle vehical while with a very knowledgable and responsible tour guide. I enjoy the tour a lot and I have recommended it to my friends who’s coming to Warsaw!

Two of us booked the Old Town tour at 5:30 on a crisp March afternoon. Neither of us had used a Segway before so we were excited but a bit apprehensive. We needn’t have been concerned - our guide, Przemek, started by explaining how a Segway operated and then one by one he introduced us to the machines. Getting the hang of starting, speed control, stopping and steering took just a few minutes and we were soon ready to start. We were lucky to be the only two on this particular tour. We headed off towards the Old Town, slowly to begin with as we were sharing the pavement with pedestrians. Slow and safe manoeuvring wasn’t tricky and the three of us settled into a steady Segway snake. Every few minutes we made a stop and Przemek told us about a significant site, or an aspect of Warsaw history associated with our location. Aside from the fun of the Segway for us both, what made the tour for me was Przemek’s intimate knowledge of the history and the detail he added to his commentary. In particular his description of events around the Second World War, including the destruction of the Old Town, the Uprising and the Warsaw Ghetto were completely fascinating. There were also some poignant moments. Hearing about the Old Town evacuation of 5,300 Uprisers through a sewer whilst we were paused on the pavement gazing at the actual sewer entrance in the middle of the road, really brought history to life. All too quickly we were nearing the end of our adventure. We had overrun slightly on time but Przemek didn’t rush to finish the tour. By this time we were both seasoned Segway enthusiasts and our speedy return to base along the much less populated wide pavements was a great way to finish. Throughout the tour Przemek was a first class guide, moving along at a pace that was comfortable for us and always happy to take questions or provide more detail. And I learned that Marie Curie was Polish not French! We’d highly recommend an Old Town Segway tour with Przemek .
