Treblinka is one of the most important sites related to Holocaust and should be on your list if your are interested in WWII. The place where the extermination camp was organized is now a memorial (no original buildings or installations are left). As for Tykocin, this picturesque village on the Narew river will let you discover Polish countryside and feel the very special atmosphere of Eastern Poland. You will get an overview of Polish history since the 16th century until now. Tykocin's heritage was built Polish and Jewish communities that lived here together for centuries. Its synagogue is one of the biggest and most beautiful synagogues in the country. On the other side of Narew river a magnificent castle was built in 1433. In 16th century it became one of the residences of the Polish king. Thanks to its reconstruction you may discover the culture of Polish nobility.
