Majdanek State Museum, Lublin, Poland Majdanek Nazi German Concentration and Extermination Camp is located just outside of the city. In Nazi plans it was supposed to be bigger than infamous Auschwitz and become slave labour source for creating new empire on the east. Exceedingly strict conditions in prison are symbolized right at the camp's entrance by impressive monument located in a place of the former front gate. A walk among remains of camp barracks with exhibitions inside, well preserved crematory building or gas chamber and gigantic Mausoleum with ashes of Majdanek victims – all of this fills visitors with sorrow and reflection. 120 minutes

An excellent way to experience a very confronting historical site. I am so glad we were guided by Marcin who gave us a personalized tour as a private group. Very comfortable vehicle, seamless pick up/drop off. Great relaxed pace for the day. Delicious food in Lublin Old Town. Would recommend to anyone.

Martin is as good a tour guide as you can get. Honestly, if I was going back I’d call ahead and request him. I was already in Lublin instead of Warsaw, which is the normal starting point. He had no problem meeting me in Lublin and picking me up.
As far as the tour itself, there probably isn’t a question you’ll think of that he won’t be able to answer. People tell me I’m good with history, but I’m not close to Martin’s level. I also learned about the impact that WW2 and the Holocaust had (and continues to have) on the relationship between Germany and Poland. We finished with a very pleasant lunch at an excellent restaurant. Again, it’s worth calling the company and requesting Martin, even if you have to shift your plans or pay extra.

We had a wonderful and somber time visiting Majdanek. Our tour guide, Marcin, was fantastic. He was prompt in picking us up at our meeting point, and from there he provided a day of great conversations and a wealth of knowledge on both the history of the camps and Poland in general.
I felt that we had a much better and more in-depth experience at Majdanek than if we had visited it by ourselves. We also had a very nice visit to Lublin, where Marcin did a great job highlighting some of the city's features. We got to enjoy some very tasty pierogis and ice-cold Perla beers.
I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone!
