    Old medieval core of Warsaw with its red roofs, colourful houses and the Royal Castle is the most unlikely UNESCO Heritage Site, as it was fully reconstructed following the near full destruction during WW2. The reconstruction was done so meticulously that you will have hard time telling that it's not old, and it set the example for the rest of the world.

We decided at the last minute to book this tour for the following day and we didn’t regret our decision. Our guide was knowledgeable and kept things fun. I would recommend this tour anytime…

Hicimos el free tour de Varsovia. Dura unas 2 horas y media. Lo peor de todo, la masificación. En un intento por sacar más y más pasta, éramos grupos de más de 30 personas, con lo que a veces era difícil enterarse de lo que cuentan. Te enseñan algunos de los sitios más importantes de la ciudad. Como free tour, flojito. El guía Pedro no le ponía demasiado entusiasmo y la historia la cuenta bastante desordenada, saltando de un hecho a otro sin mucha coherencia. Como anécdota, no me gustó que el guía hablara de ideas magufas diciendo que “hay estudios” que demuestran que los recuerdos se transmiten de una generación a la siguiente. Dejemos las chorradas pseudocientíficas para la cerveza con los amigos. Tampoco me hizo gracia el comentario de “aquí no tenemos vacaciones todo el rato, como en España”. Puro estereotipo, que además es mentira. No recomendaría estos free tours.

Another day, another great walking tour. Facts, myths, stories, history: all told by a great story teller! And, we’ve been in old town for 3 days now & Lukacz took us to 2 places we hadn’t discovered yet. Got a recommendation for which candies to take back as souvenirs, too.
