I took 6 tours hosted by DC Design Tours between June and August this year. They stimulated my curiosity so much that I signed up for another tour every time I finished one.
I have lived in DC for more than five years. I was not particularly passionate about DC history before. DC seemed too organized compared to NY, where I used to live, so I thought there was nothing particularly interesting to talk about.
But now DC has become more than just a cluster of buildings and Exorcist Steps, but a place where the ideals and egos of those involved in the founding and development of the United States swirl around.
In the age where AI guide is knowledgeable or even engaging, it can provide a collection of information you intend. But without appropriate prompts, dots would remain dots. At least, I would not be able to come up with any prompts to connect them. Enter human guides to weave a story that is truly intriguing and memorable.
I have met four guides from DC Design Tours so far, and all of them were excellent. I am sure that even after I return to Japan in a few years, I will still remember the names of each guide and our fond interactions. I highly recommend their tours.
