Lincoln Memorial, Washington DC, District of Columbia, United States The Lincoln Memorial was built to resemble a Greek temple, a tribute to President Abraham Lincoln and the nation he fought to preserve during the Civil War (1861-1865).
We will also visit at the grounds of the temple area, the Vietnam and the Korean War Memorials, and take a glimpse at the Albert Einstein Memorial, a monumental bronze statue depicting Albert Einstein seated with manuscript papers in hand - by sculptor Robert Berks.

It was the perfect tour to start our Washington exploration. You get a lot of history at the same time as getting to know your way around the city. The facts were not just dry history but also interesting stories and origins behind them. Hit all of the major landmarks in this somewhat short 3 hour tour
