This is a one day luxury car tour, taking you from Kyoto to Gifu & back. The tour was created by an MK Taxi driver who is knowledgeable about history. It is a plan that can be enjoyed by fans of the Shogun TV Drama, Japanese History buffs and families alike. While the driver cannot speak English, you will be accompanied by a interpretor who will translate everything for you.

  • Sekigahara Battlefield, Sekigahara-cho, Gifu Prefecture, Japan
    Head to the battlefield of Sekigahara, where the "decisive battle for the nation" took place after the death of Toyotomi Hideyoshi! Get a panoramic view of the battlefield from the site of Tokugawa Ieyasu's Tokobukiya (Tokugawa Ieyasu's final camp) and the site of Ishida Mitsunari's camp (Ishida Mitsunari's camp), and feel the atmosphere of the battles and the romance of the warlords. This plan was created jointly by history-geek MK Taxi driver and a tour guide who loves the Sengoku period. Of course, we will accompany you on the day and show you recommended spots.

Our English guide, Shozo Saka, was very excited and helpful in giving us a great tour of Kyoto city. He was very accommodating of our wishes. Would definitely recommend him to all.

We had a family reunion in Kyoto after not seeing each other in person for 3 years. Arriving from Tokyo, UK and LA, we had high expectations for our trip and our MK driver, Mr. Gyo Fukuda made it super special and memorable. He was very knowledgeable, thoughtful and kind to all of us, especially to our mom who has a little difficulty with walking. He not only drove the BMW smoothly even on the narrow Gion streets, but also pushing “the Porsche of wheelchair” though gardens. Based on our long wish list, he added some stops we didn’t think possible. Thank you, Fukuda san for such FUN filled 2 days!!
