Visit Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary, the first sanctuary of its kind with enclosures built specially with the needs and personalities of the animals taken into account. The sanctuary is home to Apex Cats and other predators and wildlife. Walk past the enclosures while your professional trained guide tells you about the past, present and interesting facts about the animals you see. You are also welcome to do the walk on your own, however we do recommend a guide. Take amazing photos from special photography ramps throughout the sanctuary. Your admission ticket includes a 1 hour 20 minute guided tour. Tours depart every 15 minutes and operate in a small-groups maximum 16 people. If you prefer a private tour, you can request this at no additional cost from reception, however this will result in a waiting period exceeding 20 minutes unless you booked it a day in advance. A Combo ticket includes either Monkeyland OR Birds of Eden. TripTic ticket includes Monkeyland, Birds of Eden and Jukani.

    Admire magnificent and majestic big cats of the world – Lions, Tigers, Leopards and Jaguars. The animals - at their forever home – Jukani, have been rescued or re homed from facilities that could no longer care for them. At Jukani the animals can now explore their large natural habitat, designed, and built around each individual animal’s needs. The animals can be appreciated and photographed in all their magnificence during your 90-minute walking safari with one of our knowledgeable guides. Jukani is home to not only wild cats but also Raccoons, Honey badger, Caracal, Zebra, Springbok and Spotted Hyena. The lightning fast Cheetah and agile tree climbing Pumas are a delight to see. On your you will be made aware of the plight of these animals – realizing that through lifestyle changes and choices you can contribute to a chance at a better future for them. The sanctuary is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Wheelchair accessible. All Weather facility – rain = Wet!

We had such a fantastic tour yesterday with tour guide Riko, who was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. You can see all of the big cats up close and we learned so much! We took our two children aged 6 and 3, both of whom stayed engaged for the whole 90 minutes. We also ate in the cafe, which had a delicious selection of cakes and light bites plus a very small and basic play area that kept the kids entertained. Thoroughly recommend Jukani as a fantastic half day activity.

Il ne faut pas oublier que c’est un sanctuaire et non un parc naturel ou une réserve . Quand on a bien ça en tête on ne peut que passer un moment incroyable . Le guide était super , les animaux sont bien traités et les enclos sont vastes . On sent toujours l animalité et l’instinct de prédateurs des animaux ( nous y étions juste avant le repas et on sentait bien que sans le grillage on n’aurait pas fait long feu …) , les animaux ne sont pas domestiqués. Ils sont la parce que dans la nature ils ne s’en sortiraient pas . Il s’agit ici d’une seconde chance pour eux . Ne confondez pas avec un zoo ça n’en est pas un ( j’ai horreur des zoos ) . Payer son entrée pour ce sanctuaire permet de sauver ces animaux de la bêtise humaine ( le guide a pas mal d anecdotes sur le sujet d’ailleurs …) . Avec deux enfants de 5 ans et demi et deux adultes , on a tous aimé ce moment . Instructif . Passionnant . À combiner avec birds of éden et monkeyland ça passe très bien sur la journée : 2h pour les oiseaux, 1h les singes , 1h30 les prédateurs pour notre part .

Spitzen Guide, schöner Ausflug, Wir haben das Kombiticket (monkeyland) gekauft. Monkeyland war schon sehr nett und mit einem sehr guten Guide, aber hier war es top. Wir können eine Führung mit einem Guide (wir wurden von Thando geführt) nur empfehlen, da man zu jedem Tier die genaue (Leidens)Geschichte erfährt und Hintergründe für verschiedene (schlechte) Verhaltensweisen. Wir sehen diese Sanctuary nicht als Zoo, sondern als eine zweite Chance für diese Tiere. Thando hat uns alle Fragen super erklärt und ist mit uns 1,5h unterwegs gewesen. Leider sieht man aber auch wieder deutlich, dass der Faktor Mensch einfach nur grausam und geldgierig ist. Für uns war es eine toller Ausflug und wir können es empfehlen. Natürlich hat es aber nichts mit Safari oder freier Wildbahn zu tun.
