Explore the majestic Norwegian fjord, Lysefjord, from a kayak and see the famous Pulpit Rock from below. We'll paddle along steep mountains that rise from the fjord, and explore historical gorges. There's a chance to get up close to local wild life, including seals and eagles.

    We'll paddle into the large gorge called, Fantahålå ("Vagabond's Cave"), which has been used as a hiding place from local law-enforcement a few hundreds years ago. The gorge is only accessible by boat.
  • Pulpit Rock, Rogaland, Norway
    You will get to see the famous Pulpit Rock formation from below, a rare view, only accessible by boat.
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • You must be able to swim to participate.
  • This tour takes place rain or shine, but itinerary may change according to the weather.
  • Not suitable for non-swimmers.
  • Not suitable for children under 14 years.
  • Not suitable for people with mobility impairments.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Very nice kayak trip! Good kayak instructions from the nice guide, he also told things about the surroundings. The surroundings are so beautiful! Really recommended!

Kayaking the fjord with Nordic Paddling was the best part of our Norway trip. The location was easy to get to with their directions. They provide all the gear, but you should definitely bring a big water bottle, and maybe change of clothes (I stayed dry but my husband got soaked, it seems this was the case for other people too and I don’t know why). Dan was an awesome guide. He was calm and funny and made everyone in the tour group feel included. He gave really good instruction and even though we weren’t super experienced with kayaking (there was someone else on the tour who had never kayaked before too), it was pretty easy to get used to, especially since the kayaks were comfortable. The weather was thankfully amazing - sunny, beautiful, calm. Everyone was allowed to go at their own pace and Dan gave good information on some of the things we were passing and seeing. He was very easy to talk to and friendly. And of course, the views were stunning and so serene. If we were staying longer we probably would have come and kayaked again with Nordic Paddling. Worth every single penny spent!
