It’s time to go back to the 1940s. Big Ben no longer sounds. Air raid sirens are the norm. German bombing raids come under cover of darkness. The population lives with rations and restrictions. Many Brits lay down their lives in Europe and beyond.
With your local expert guide, you will keep calm and carry on, learning about the British resolve and getting the inside scoop on the truth behind Westminster in wartime on this walking tour past our most important monuments- Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the Cenotaph, Ministry of War, 10 Downing Street and Whitehall.
The Tour will end outside Churchill’s War Rooms, the strategic war room bunkers from where Winston Churchill and cabinet were to conduct their part of WW2- frozen in time and ready to be discovered once again.

Nathan was a great guide! A wealth of knowledge! My children, 11 and 15, enjoyed it as much as we did.

Really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was Nathan. He was very knowledgeable and interesting and could reply to any questions asked.
The tour covered the history of London during WW2 and Churchill's role but also a lot of other historical and political information. It was also great to learn about some of the beautiful looking buildings in Whitehall.
I would highly recommend this tour with Nathan.

Had a fun and informative walkabout town with Amber. Her energy was infectious and kept our group involved as she wove history as a story teller. The war room was filled extensively with artifacts, documents and history. This should be a required stop to understand the pivotal point played in ww2 that shaped the world we have today.
