    Enjoy a whitewater rafting day of adventure after meeting at the office at 9am to get properly prepared and briefed. The brief safety demonstration will highlight proper paddling techniques, review guide commands such as "forward" "back" and "stop," and give tips of how best to stay in the raft The journey through the jungle will start with some excellent high-volume first rapids to get the heart racing. The day will pause around noon for a buffet lunch riverside when the guides will cut up fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as provide assemble-your-own sandwiches with the best local ingredients. All personal dietary restrictions can be easily accommodated. Once the fresh food has settled and break time is finished, you will load back into the rafts to continue the day's excitement. At approximately 2pm, after around 8.5 miles (14 km) the trip will finish up at the take-out with beers and sodas to the guides. Your vehicle will be waiting to return you to Boquete around 3:30pm.

  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

The rafting is nowhere near Boquete!!! I'll try to give Boquete Outdoor Adventures the benefit of the doubt and I hope they are not intentionally being dishonest but at the very least, they are extremely misleading and have zero respect for people's time or money.  (Edit:  now I do believe they are intentionally being dishonest.  I expressed my frustration with the intent of showing them why it's misleading and their response was, "ed told everyone that it’s an hour and a half away. Also, we cannot control traffic..."  Ed would be the guy who gave a briefing just before we all got on the bus the morning of, when everyone was already there and locked it. I could not find anywhere in which 'Boquete Outdoor Adventures' explains the river is over 90 minutes from Boquete, all the way back through David and then another hour, then all the way back again.  In fact, 'Boquete Outdoor Adventures' suggests in many places, including on their website and TripAdvisor description, that the whitewater rafting is an activity in BOQUETE!! I.e. (I'll try to include the screenshots) Website:  "It doesn’t get better than the whitewater rafting in Boquete, Panama" TripAdvisor:  "We offer amazing Whitewater Rafting trips.  Rafting is the most popular activity in Boquete" I specifically came up to Boquete to do the whitewater rafting as described by your company.  To find out I investment the time and money to come all the way up to Boquete, pay for accommodations for a couple of days, only to go all the way back through David, then another hour past it, then all the way back through David and up to Boquete, and I still have to head back to David after coming all this way to do your tour?. Absolutely infuriating.  Complete garbage.  Do better.

Samen met mijn dochter van 12 jaar zijn we mee geweest met Freddy en Pipa. Twee boten, max 6 personen. Freddy en Pipa zijn ervaren rafters. Ze begeleiden de boten goed, geven heldere instructies. Geen moment niet veilig gevoeld. Natuur is prachtig tijdens de vaart. In november is de rivier een meter hoger en dus ook sneller. Lunch bestaat uit een sandwich en fruit. Eenvoudig maar goed.

We went at the end of the dry season and rapids were class 2 at best. The guides are very careful and do not want you falling out of the boat at all - we had to get down in the boat during the bigger rapids. Lunch was delicious. Good excursion for someone with no experience, soso if you have had been white water rafting before. It was about 2 hours there, 4 hours of Rafting, and 2 hours back. They do have water shoes, life jackets and helmets.
