9 Day Canyons, Dunes & Wildlife Camping and Lodge Safari

Having previously traveled to 33 different countries In Africa. Namibia is one of my favourite countries In Africa to visit. Why??? Because of the beautiful landscapes the amazing scenery the wildlife and the different tribes you can visit who are still holding on to their culture. It just feels like you have been put in the star trek transporter and beamed down to a different planet. I went back to Namibia and did a 9 day highlights tour with CHAMELEON SAFARI'S They exceeded all my expectations . The tours leaders Rupert and Taimi. Were superb up at 5 in the morning cooking our breakfast helping with packing the tents, and keeping us informed each day of the itinerary of the trip. And Taimi,s knowledge of the history of Namibia was phenomenal. The other tour leader Rupert was so brilliant as well, driving us from place to place in temps above 30 c i not a job i would fancy doing. Each day we were well informed about our next destination, the cooking and the food hygiene was superb. No one on the trip had any issues with upset stomachs or any related illness. As Namibia is at the top of my list places to visit in Africa. I was in awe of the tour leader TAIMI, S knowledge of the history of Namibia. Both tour leaders were outstanding and exceeded all my expectations. THANKYOU CHAMELEON SAFARI'S FOR SUCH A GREAT HOLIDAY. BRILLIANT FROM START TO FINISH. A WELL DESERVED 5 STARS.

Chameleon Safaris welcomes all clients regardless of race, creed, nationality or religion. They make every effort to provide a high quality experience to all of their participants. Unfortunately, there is no filter to assess that their clients follow that same ethical code of behavior. In the best case scenario, people traveling together are open minded and create a community by which they share a common experience and have fun together. On the other end of the spectrum, clients traveling together can be dysfunctional and maybe even hostile while traveling long hours and spending so much time together. My 6 day camping trip was in the latter group, spoiled by 2 bad actors who did not show respect for their fellow travelers nor for their guides. The management at Chameleon Safaris were appropriately apologetic: they are very personally invested in their client satisfaction and my trip was an unmitigated disaster. This type of travel involves a bit of risk not knowing who you might meet. I was just very unlucky ( and very disappointed)

The 9 day trip was awesome. I chose for the trip with camping, and had a small but amazing group with my guide Taime and driver Oupa Rudolf. After 6 days, I joined another group, which was fully booked with guide and driver Tulimo. Also had a great experience with him. The food that is made every day is great and there are so many highlights to see. Will remember this trip forever
