The tour highlights a wide range of themes surrounding Women in Art, their representation in paintings, and the influence their own work had on those who came after.
Discover the art of 17th Century Artemisia Gentileschi, who was influenced by the naturalistic style of Caravaggio. Find out why she chose to paint biblical narratives about women, and why she portrayed herself as the main character.
Learn about the work of impressionist artist Berthe Morisot, whose exhibited her art alongside Monet, Degas and Renoir, despite restrictions on her gender.

Steph did a really great job of placing each woman in her historical and personal context, how they presented themselves as artists to the world, the way they were supported or undermined by the men in around them. . I had heard of many of these women before, but came away with a new respect for all of them.
