Yellowstone Hiking Guides safely leads hiking groups into the Lamar Valley on a wildlife viewing day hike tour. Our guides are experts and fun is a top priority. Regularly, we spot wolves, bears, and other rare wildlife from the trail in the backcountry of Yellowstone. Our tours are off the beaten path, traveling on bison trails for the majority of the hike. Most tour providers in Yellowstone spend the majority of the day on the road, or very close to the road. Our guides take you into the backcountry for unique views of the Lamar Valley that you cannot see from the roadway. Frequently, our guests tell us that they could not do this hike on their own. We also hear feedback stating this is the best part of our guest's vacation to Yellowstone.

Viator did not inform me that the Lamar Valley was cancelled. I am still waiting for my refund. The Lamar Valley is closed due to a flood. The Yellowstone guide claims that they tried to contact me but I have no trace of it. I called them but we cannot leave a message

It was an amazing experience, the encounter with Nature, views with Bisons all over was a blast. Josh our guide was way beyond being friendly and doing his job. Gave us a wonderful tour around areas no tourist will go on their own. Strongly recommended Watch out for the meeting point: it us nit a shop and no signs it is an official spot in the park.

We recently went on a hike with Yellowstone Hiking Guides, literally a few days prior to the massive flooding that occurred in the park. We had a fantastic hike that was led by Joel, a retired National Park Ranger. Joel was in 2 words, The Best! He was very knowledgeable and willingly shared his knowledge with the group. He was also entertaining and the consummate professional. The hike took us into parts of the Valley that were accessible yet not overrun with other hikers. I would strongly recommend Yellowstone Hiking Guides
