Yellowstone National Park is one of America’s great treasures. This full day safari will show off the highlights of this incredible place; volcanic thermal features, giant waterfalls, diverse wildlife, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and Yellowstone Lake. Throughout the day we will drive scenic roads, walk historic boardwalks, enjoy the peace of natural landscapes and use our optics to view wildlife. Your guide is your driver, and their goal is to cover as many of Yellowstone’s famous features as they can in a day. The guides at Yellowstone Safari Co. will make every effort to showcase as many highlights as possible, and will structure the day around making your experience a memorable one. They will take current road conditions, weather, seasonality, and your personal interests into consideration as they move through the park.     Mammoth Hot Springs is a collection of thermal features at the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It is best known for the travertine terraces that form from mineral deposits, but there are many other observable geothermal features in this area. The third largest hot spring in the world is most well known for the rainbow effect that the microbial mats create, producing reds, oranges, yellows and greens around the edges of the spring. The blue center is the result of sterile water at great depth appearing blue to the eye. Our safari makes a stop here. Our one day tour this winter was fantastic. This company is a class act beginning with picking us up at our airbnb in Emigrant. Our naturalist guide, Grant Johnson, was not only gracious with setting up scopes and directing us on where to look for all kinds of animals, but his passion for the environment and animals of Yellowstone are what made this tour extra special. You could tell that he truly loved his job and wanted to educate us about so many different aspects of the park, it wasn't just a pull over and take a picture, it was an experience. His in-depth knowledge about all things Yellowstone gave us a true understanding about so many things. The day was structured well and we had a wonderful lunch in a beautiful setting. The highlight of my day was short hike looking for Pygmy owls. Grant talked about animal tracks and signs and we even got to witness a coyote on the scent of something close by. Another highlight of my day was the wolf pack sighting. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour, as did my two friends. I highly recommend this tour and especially Grant as the naturalist guide.
