    The true and unique masterpiece of Hellenistic architecture in Armenia is the pagan temple of the Sun, Garni. It is one of the most ancient landmarks in Armenia which has survived since pagan period. A disastrous 1679 earthquake destroyed the temple. It was reconstructed in 20th century.

  • The Monastery of Geghard, Geghard, Armenia
    The monastery complex Geghard or Gegardavanq (means a spear in Armenian) is an outstanding medieval architecture that reached us remarkably well- preserved. The beautiful landscape of Geghard is framed with towering cliffs. Decorative art cut into rocks reflects and explains Medieval Ages development throughout the region. The complex was introduced to the history in the 4th century as a sacred spring inside a cave.

We booked the tour online and the were very quick to respond, helpful with a variety of questions we had about our trip in general and collected us from our apartment. The tour guide was fantastic, tailoring our trip to our preferences and the weather and teaching us more than we could have ever learned about Armenia by researching alone. Thoroughly recommend

Bonito mas já com muitas pedras que foram restauradas e ,quanto a mim,feito de maneira que não prestigia quem o fez.Sei da dificuldade em conseguir materiais da época da sua construção mas..podiam ter feito melhor.A vista de lá sobre o desfiladeiro é imponentePode-se passear a esse desfiladeiro em veiculos 4x4 .
