    Travel out of the city towards the north-western region of Armenia. First, stop at the city of the beautiful Lake Sevan, which is one of the world's highest fresh-water lakes, located about 1,900 meters above sea level. Enjoy a stroll beside the lake surrounded by tall mountain peaks. Admire the crystal-clear water of the lake in a truly tranquil location. Visit the nearby Sevanavank Monastery, which was built on the peninsula in the year 874. Admire the reflection of the churches on the still lake surface. Then, make your way to a restaurant located on the shore where you can enjoy some lunch, at your own expense.

  • Kecharis Monastery, Tsakhkadzor, Armenia
    Next travel to Tsaghkadzor, situated in the Kotayk region 50 kilometers north of the capital. This city is considered to be one of the most popular winter resorts in Armenia. Explore the city which is surrounded by picturesque mountains and forests. Visit the Kecharis Monastery which dates back to the 11th century. The monastery consists of four churches and a half-destroyed mausoleum of Grigorius Pahlavuni, who financed the construction of the monastery.

  • GMPW+2R3, Tsachkadzor 2310, Armenië
    In Tsaghkadzor, the popular ski resort of Armenia, there is a chairlift with 5 stations and more than a dozen ski runs. The armchaired ropeway of Tsaghkadzor is located on the eastern slope of Mount Teghenis 1966-2819 m above sea level. It has been functioning since 1967. From the height of 2819 m, where the speedy chairlift will take you in 32 minutes, all of Armenia is visible at a glance, and if weather is clear, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Mount Ararat. In 2004 the former ropeway was replaced with a new, modern one, also in 2017 important investments were made. Now the ropeway is well equipped, the active and safe rest for tourists is guaranteed.

Vom Hotel aus sind wir gleich in das Dorf Artabyunk gefahren und haben von dort aus die Tour gestartet. Wir gingen nach Smbataberd. Unterwegs stürzte mein Freund, sein Bein war leicht verletzt, aber es war so interessant, dass wir den ganzen Weg zu Fuß gingen. Wir konnten beeindruckende Berge und Schluchten sehen. Vielen Dank an unseren Bergführer Davit, der uns viele interessante Fakten über Smbataberd und das Kloster Tsakhats Kar erzählt hat. Und danke an unseren Fahrer Arman für die sichere Fahrt!
