We had a wonderful, dream come true, tour of the Yorkshire Dales with Chris. He has so much knowledge of the area and was very attentive to the (small) group’s interests. We spent time at Fountains Abbey and Studley Water Gardens before moving through the Dales. We saw many Herriot related sights, as well as some interesting little villages and market towns. I highly recommend this small group tour to anyone interested in the Dales or sites associated with “All Creatures Great and Small”.

Our guide, Chris, is a lifelong resident of North Yorkshire and shared a wealth of information with us as we explored many nooks and crannies in the area. He was delightful and willing to respond to our particular interests with stops for photos. Our group of 6 felt this was a day well-spent and one of the highlights of our UK tour!! I can't imagine using any other guide in North Yorkshire.

Spent about six hours walking around the ruins and then Studley park. Stunning place in a gorgeous setting along the river. The abbey itself has numerous ruins to see but also some high buildings and fabulous intact cloisters, some of the best I've ever seen. The scenery takes it's own pride of place and of course the history makes for a rewarding day out, go and enjoy.
