  • Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia
    Continue to Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of the oldest national parks in Southeast Europe and the largest in Croatia. Follow your guide on a walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage listed park, which is famous for its 16 lakes connected by a series of waterfalls. Start your walking tour of the park with your expert guide that knows all the ins and outs. Get enchanted with the stunning nature that surrounds you while your guide shares interesting tidbits and leads you through the forest parts and board pathways on the lakes. Discover all the highlights of the park (both Lower and Upper lakes). Cap off your visit with a boat cruise across the largest lake and a panoramic vehicle ride, soaking up the breathtaking views and pure air. Please note that from November 1st through March 31st, depending on weather conditions, the panoramic vehicle and electric boats do not operate and only Lower Lakes can be visited. Tour will be operated on foot during these periods and tour last less then 4 hours.

Plitvice lakes was on my bucket list - as it should be! Our guide, Renato, was awesome! He made everything about the trip easy (pick-up/drop-off from hotel, guiding us to avoid the crowds etc.) and fun. He gave good recommendations. And let us take our time to enjoy the gorgeous scenery and take lots of amazing photos. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend this day trip, it is hard to describe how beautiful it is. Our tour guide and driver, Eva, was fantastic. I do have a few recommendations. Take the early morning tour, it avoids crowds. We left Zagreb at 8 am and it was perfect. Wear very comfortable walking shoes, it is a national park and you will be walking up and down hills, in mud and will get your shoes wet. I also recommend taking a raincoat or a poncho, when you walk next to the largest waterfall you will get wet. I went in April and although it was a beautiful day it was chilly.

This trip was amazing. Dinko, our guide, is very knowledgeable about the history of the country and area we visited and he was very helpful. Highly recommended!
