My girlfriend and I wanted to visit Hwange NP because we know that it is not so popular place like famous Chobe NP, so we wanted more personal experience. We arrived to Hwange main camp, after visit to Painted dog sanctuary at 2 pm and quickly get lunch and start game drive at 3 pm. First impression of whole place was that it is still not many guests becouse it is beginning of the season. On game drive we have seen a couple of different groups of elephants and different species of antilopes. Also we saw ostriches and very nice birds, but didn't find anfy of predators. It is still very tick bush and leaves didn't fall off, so it is very challenging game drive, but also this keeps you very awake because you can't now what is behind a corner. Next day are search for a predators turns to dreams come true! After very long driving and not findind a lot animals, our excellent guide Ian, took us just in front of 3 lioness enjoying in a just killed pray! It was unbelievable that we can be only lucky guys in this unforgettable moment! Around it was about 10 vultures and more than 20 on a trees around. We couldn't belive our eyes! After we enjoy for a really long time and start to drive back, we saw hyena approaching (around 100m from lionesses. So conclusion: take a risk of not going to most popular place on game drive and maybe you can be blessed with once in a life experience! And at the and I need to say that Ian was really guide who will do everything to find animals and he really is very experienced in tracking the animals. Also he is very funny and polite young man who has truly respect for nature but also for guests!
