Cullinan Holdings has introduced a compulsory vaccination policy with immediate effect, as follows. 'With rising global COVID-19 cases among the unvaccinated population, Cullinan Holdings have implemented a policy requiring all guests travelling either on a group or scheduled tour with Thompsons Africa, to be fully vaccinated. A group is defined as any guest travelling with one or more persons who are not family or friends. If however fellow guests are family or friends travelling in isolation of other guests (private bookings), no mandatory vaccination is required (to be reviewed based on the prevailing global circumstances). This requirement applies to groups (ad-hoc and series), Guided Journeys and all scheduled departure day tour experiences, and is done in the interest of creating a safe environment for everyone. It is the guests' responsibility to ensure that they always comply with these requirements. No refunds will be given if guests are unable to undertake some or all their holiday due to their failure to comply with these requirements. Guests will be responsible for any resulting additional costs including travel and accommodation. Proof of vaccinations may be requested, when necessary. We further strongly recommend that guests ensure they have adequate medical and travel insurance for the duration of their stay in Southern Africa.'

It was my first trip to Zimbabwe and the Victoria Falls. The tour was awesome and it was exactly what it was planned to be.
Loved the Kingdom hotel, it was an experience of its own.
I also asked Thompson Africa to plan me a one day trip to Zambia which they did and it was great.
Africa is awesome for holiday, I went to Kenya with Pongezi Africa tour and this tour, both are well recommended.

I just got back from Africa and had a fantastic time, except for my interactions with Thompson's Africa. From the start, I hardly received any information from them about my tour. On other trips, I have gotten a complete itinerary including pick-up and drop-off times, where to meet, what to expect, etc. I had to continually reach out to them to get information on my 3-day trip to Victoria Falls, including simple information as in who will be picking us up at the airport, where do we meet for our tours, what time do we meet for our tours, when am I getting picked up from the hotel to go back to the airport, etc. I had done many other tours before and feel as though this information should be provided to me up front and 100% before I left for my trip. To not know where to go or when to be ready, is extremely difficult, especially in a country where you do not have cell phone service or internet to easily talk with the tour provider. While in Zimbabwe, we did a tour of the falls. At the falls entrance, we noticed other people had umbrellas, rain jackets, etc. and our guide told us we needed them (once at the falls) and should have brought them - why not tell us sometime before we are actually at the falls? He had to drive us back to get our things - no one told us we would need an umbrella or rain coat! Not in an email or upon arrival in Zimbabwe - poor communication and poor planning (and it was 100% necessary to have such items when touring the falls). Upon ending our tour, no one informed us when to be ready the next morning for our (included) transportation to the airport, so again I was left worried about making it to the airport on time and had to have the hotel front desk get in contact with Thompson's Africa to coordinate the rest of my trip. On all of my other tours, this information was provided beforehand. I had the absolute worst service with Thompson's Africa and would not recommend their services to anyone. The only saving grace was the hotel accommodations they provided were excellent- we loved the Kingdom Hotel and I would recommend staying there to anyone traveling to Victoria Falls!
