Victoria Wal- and Wildlife Bootstour

This was an absolutely amazing tour. Well organized, comfortable boat in case you didn't want to be outside at this time of year. Ability to sit outside and get the full experience, see the wildlife up close in their environment instead of inside the cabin (bathrooms on board were a plus!). Knowledgeable crew, learned a lot about whales. Excellent wildlife viewing (we saw humpback whales (several), bald eagles, sea otter, elephant and harbour seals, and Stellar and California Sea Lions. Highly recommend this tour!

From the moment that we arrived to book our tour with the ladies at the booking desk we had excellent customer service. My partner booked the trip as a combined birthday present for us both and as she's done the tour before, she also received discount. The next day we arrived at our meeting point and time slot and were greeted by Derek who gave the whole group a warm welcome and explained the itinerary of the trip. Once on the catamaran, he also went through all the health and safety, showed us where we could store our belongings and where the refreshments were (purchased via donation) and introduced us to our skipper Joe and spotter Evan (although Derek did say they were all also called Derek, suspicious haha!) We left James Bay and made our way out into the Salish sea and the sights we passed were all explained. It wasn't long into the trip before some humpback whales were sighted and the boat was positioned and stopped so we could get a good look. The whole trip hunting for sightings was incredible with endless knowledge by the crew and they always made sure we all got a good chance to look and take photos. Seeing Biggs transient Orcas was just breathtaking and emotional all at once. The crews knowledge of these pods knowing exactly which was which was so impressive. Our trip to Canada was a "once in a lifetime" trip, which my partner and myself got engaged and the tour that the chaps and Eagle Wing Tours gave, made even more incredible and memorable. I also love the fact they do a lot for kids education and charity. Honestly would recommend you to everyone! Thanks once again, get some beers in for the guys!

Took the Specialty Bird Tour: Islands of the Southern Salish Sea in November 2024! Such a thrilling cruise for me as my first time sailing in the local waters. Fabulous crew team & cooperation with local bird specialists from Rocky Point Bird Observatory. I wasn’t cold nor seasick & the rain held off. Saw hundreds of migratory birds during the cruise through the Salish Sea islands around Sidney Spit (Canadian side) plus 2 humpback whales on the way. Highly recommend this company.
