Beautiful views, worth the trip if... you speak Portuguese (or Spanish).
I am Portuguese, by my boyfriend doesn't speak Portuguese and so didn't a couple of other people in our van. Unfortunately for them, the tour becomes less interesting without knowing what's happening/why we're stopping or for how long, or what we're gonna do. I had to translate for my boyfriend, which was ok with me, but it is not what we expected, especially since we had requested an English guide when booking. If you ask, they will try to give you indications in English, but do not expect it to be the main language of the trip.
If you're fine with this, then it's worth the trip cause of the views and the low price. It's quite a drive, especially on the last day where you go from Merzouga to Marrakesh straight with just a couple of bathroom/coffee breaks (9-10h in total).
Lunches are not included in the price, but you do stop at pre-arranged restaurants where you're expected to have lunch, and where you pay 12€ + drinks. Most of these places accept card payments, but they charge you a couple of euros more for it...
Having said this, it all flows smoothly between all these stops, and we got to all the places on time/departed on time. And we had plenty of time to take photos along the way.
Sad we couldn't stop in Erfoud to explore the fossil stores
