The food selection was incredibly bad. The only place to get a kid friendly lunch was the hotel and it was busy. The Cafe was also busy and in the past they served sandwiches and chili. This year they served some kind of Thai or something similar. Unfortunately customers did not know this until standing in line for a minimum 20min. The only way to see the menu was to stand in line as the menu was at the till at waist height. Many angry and disappointed customers walked out after waiting in line for nothing. This was brought up with the manager at heritage park that day. She was rude and dismissive. A customer mentioned that she was diabetic and needed to eat. After standing in line for over 20 min to find out it was a type of food not appropriate for a "family friendly" park and there were no other option other than a gingerbread man. The manager suggested to bring your own food. Seriously??For $19.99 admission to walk around a virtually closed park and ultimately a glorified christmas market we expected more from Heritage Park. It definitely was not a great Christmas experience. Nothing really for family's to do unless one pre purchased a wagon ride or stood in line for 1.5 hr for a wagon
ride and a market, no edible food and an ignorant rude manager. Seen no Carolers or any music. It was an expensive boring disappointing day only made worse by the "manager". I should have saved my money and went to the zoo lights. At least you can get a kid friendly meal there and not need to bring outside food. Do better heritage park.
