Song of the Sea: Fisch, Meeresfrüchte und Tradition in der Hafenzone von Lissabon

This was a wonderful way for us to experience Lisbon in an authentic way. Our gracious guide, Kika was truly amazing. We veered away the tourist traps and were taken to local spots. She was very knowledgeable of the rich history and cultural influences of Lisbon’s culinary scene. She even drew maps and diagrams as she explained nuggets of information. We walked from place to place, each stop less than 10 minutes to the next. The 6 hours flew by. Kika left us with more suggestions for the remainder of our stay in Lisbon and made herself available if we had any questions. Highly recommend this tour!

Kika is a brilliant tour guide....so knowledgeable and personable. She answered my many questions patiently and told lots of interesting stories. Our guide was especially fun and interesting, as well as passionate about Portugal. The best part of the tour was, I thought, at the end, where we ended up at an outdoor restaurant where the fish is grilled before your eyes. Also, we stopped at a wine shop where we learned about his cheese, wine production and wines for sale. It was a little bit of a sales pitch, but nevertheless, delicious. So, this is not so much about, the port or seafood as it is a combination of history, food, culture, and, of course, many delicacies.
