I left from Moab that morning. I awoke to drizzle and it rained all the way, off and on, to Page. Because of the time change, I arrived one hour earlier than planned, but that was okay, since I was already running late. I paid a bit more for the premium tour time, because I was hoping to get the sun overhead. And as luck should have it, when it came time for my tour, the clouds all ran away and the sun shined down on all of us.
Our tour guide was Keanu. I actually spent a few minutes talking with him before the tour, since I was there so early. He was an AWESOME tour guide (and a really nice person in general!), and was very knowledgeable about the Canyon. He was super-helpful in getting everyone's cell phone cameras set up to take the best pictures possible. When good photo opportunities arose, he had us pose, while he took pictures of us on our cell phones! Pictures- isn't that what we all came for?! This guy was stupendous!
There's a short ride to and fro from the tour center area to the Canyon- about 10 minutes each direction. The walk through the slot canyon was about an hour long at a meandering pace. Nothing too strenuous. After we exited the canyon, there's a little bit of elevation involved, but it's not bad.
This tour was worth every single penny! Go do this tour!! I seriously doubt that there are many unhappy guests. Some of the best money I've ever spent!
