Disneyland Paris aims to create the Disney Magic in an interactive way for all the family, however it fails at some basics
1. Brand over customers - example we asked for a magnum ice cream without sprinkles for a 6 year old. We were told they can’t do it as they have a brand agreement. Sadly the magic was lost in my sons eyes
2. Rides regularly breakdown. In 4 days, we had at least 2 rides per days stop working having already queued for 30 minutes. One ride had just reopened after 5 days and was still breaking down
3. During a heavy rainstorm the drains overflowed flooding the area new it’s a small world
4. Lots of construction going on in both parks. Disney used to be good at hiding this
5. As per other reviews, food options have not changed in 10 years of our annual visit
6. Prices - aside from the expense of getting in, a basic lunch averaged around 70 - 80 euros for a family of 4. I’m not against paying theme park tax but as point 5 the value of it makes it worse
7. Opportunities to see characters seems at least to me to be a lot less. It used to be easy to find dining options where characters would visit but a lot have gone. Only option now is to queue for hours
8. Queues - to be honest I don’t blame Disney exactly here. Magic hours don’t help since most people have them anyway.
3 stars because to be fair, the kids like it here but once we get a Universal I think Disneyland Paris is going to be forced to modernise or lose out
