Disneyland® Paris Multi-Day Ticket

Quelle déception… Mon entreprise avait offert à toutes les familles un séjour de 2 jours à Disneyland Paris. Nous étions 25, enfants et parents, à partager cette joie. Tout s’est très bien passé… jusqu’au samedi 29 novembre en fin d’après-midi. La quasi-totalité du groupe attendait le dernier train faisant le tour du parc à l’intérieur de la gare : Disneyland Railroad Frontierland Depot. Cinq parents manquaient encore à l’appel et sont arrivés quelques minutes plus tard, alors que la gare venait de fermer depuis 5 minutes. Le train n’était pourtant pas encore arrivé. Naturellement, ces parents ont franchi la rambarde pour rejoindre leurs enfants déjà à l’intérieur. Et là… une responsable leur est littéralement tombée dessus, en leur ordonnant de quitter immédiatement la gare au prétexte qu’elle était fermée. Ubuesque. Ma femme a tenté d’expliquer calmement que leurs enfants étaient déjà à bord avec tout le groupe, mais aucun dialogue possible. La responsable, très véhémente, répétait simplement que « quand un magasin est fermé, on ne peut plus rentrer ». Une comparaison totalement hors contexte. Nous sommes tombés sur une personne qui a appliqué la règle sans aucun discernement ni humanité, au mépris de l’esprit même de Disney. Résultat : une fin de journée gâchée, une joie de Noël ternie pour des familles entières. Un comble pour un parc qui revendique la féérie, l’enfance et la magie. Très grande déception.

Disneyland Paris follows the standard disney recipe of providing a magical experience, and it certainly delivers well on the magic, but is held back by some shortcomings. Disneyland Paris consists of two parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. We brought a 17 month old and had an overall good time. The Good: 1) There are rides in both parks for all ages and adrenaline levels. - For high octane adrenaline junkies: 1) Star Wars Hyperspace, 2) Indiana Jones, 3) Big Thunder Mountain, 4) Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, and 5) The Hollywood Tower. Crush's Coaster is also supposed to be very good but it was plagued with technical issues during our 3 day visit there (which led to long ques when it operated). These all required riders to be 120cm if I recall correctly. - For those with young ones, there look for the rides that say any height. But some of them can still be bumpy so for those bringing infants, some rides (particularly the roller coaster type rides) will requrie them to sit on the seat (ie not on your lap) and they should have good head control before bringing them onboard. Rides we enjoyed were: 1) Casey Jr train, 2) Its a small world boat ride, 3) Slinky Dog. 2) Disneyland Park was very festive for the Christmas period which greatly added to the experience and charm. Parades were really good and kids loved it, decorations were very beautiful, music was great, everything was made to make the experience magical. Very well done. 3) The shows were good, some were really great. We particularly enjoyed: 1) Together: A Pixar Musical Adventure (A must see for all ages***) and 2) Frozen. The rest of the shows were alright, nice and young kid would enjoy them, but not great. Do note that many of the shows are conducted partially in French and partially English, so for non-French speaking visitors, please be aware of this, but there is usually enough English to help you follow what is happening. The could be better: 1) Walt Disney Studios Park had good rides, good shows, and nice music playing, but was generally underwhelming compared to the other Park. Given that it was the Christmas period, it felt like this Park was almost forgotten about by the management, there was no magical experience here, just nice rides and shows. 2) Ride Management could be better. With long ques and waiting times, it was puzzling to see empty seats on many of the rides. On my second time at Star Wars Hyperspace, I waited for 40mins only to see the roller coaster departing with some empty seats. When it was my turn, the seat next to me and the two behind me were empty, and there were still many waiting in line. I dont expect 100% capacity all the time, one or two empty seats is fine cos its not easy to match the group sizes all the time, but this was more than that. 3) The food was expensive and was ok, but not worth the value. The Bad. 1) Disneyland Paris needs to do a much better job enforcing the smoking zones. There are dedicated smoking zones throughout the park, but many visitors continue to smoke and vape as they walk around, and becuase it is often crowded, it is difficult to avoid these smokers. The rest of the visitors, including small kids should not have to breathe in these chemicals throughout the day. Overall, aside from these shortcomings, Disneyland Paris was a very enjoyable experience, and we would certainly visit again if we are back in Paris :)

​En tant qu'habitué des parcs d'attractions, j'ai souhaité donner une nouvelle chance à Disneyland Paris, en séjournant à nouveau dans l'un des hôtels du complexe. Malheureusement, l'expérience fut une déception globale. ​État du Complexe et Entretien ​Un point majeur de frustration est l'état général du complexe : ​Disney Village : La zone est en rénovation depuis une période excessivement longue, ce qui rend l'atmosphère et l'aspect visuel de l'entrée franchement peu attrayants et inesthétiques. ​Parcs : De nombreuses attractions et infrastructures étaient fermées pour rénovation le jour de notre visite. Par ailleurs, plusieurs gares du train panoramique n'étaient pas desservies. ​Pannes : Nous avons constaté plusieurs pannes techniques durant la journée, y compris sur des attractions qui viennent pourtant de sortir de révision. Cela soulève des questions sur la fiabilité et l'efficacité des maintenances. ​Ambiance et Affluence ​Décorations de Noël : L'ambiance de Noël était globalement faiblement décorée. Seule Main Street bénéficie d'une décoration à la hauteur. Le reste du parc manque cruellement de l'éclat saisonnier que l'on attend de Disney. ​Affluence : Le parc était excessivement bondé, ce qui nuit considérablement à l'expérience et au plaisir des visiteurs. ​Points Positifs et Recommandation ​Malgré cette déception, un moment a été exceptionnel : ​Le Spectacle Nocturne : Le show donné à 22h est absolument incroyable et constitue le point culminant de la journée. ​Conclusion et Avis : ​Après cette nouvelle expérience, ma décision est définitive : je ne retournerai plus jamais à Disneyland Paris. ​Je conseille vivement à l'équipe de Disneyland de s'inspirer de la qualité des prestations, des décorations saisonnières et du service client d'autres grands parcs européens, notamment Europa-Park. Ce parc concurrent surpasse Disney en matière d'immersion, de décoration, et de rapport qualité-prix. ​Conseil aux lecteurs : Si vous n'êtes jamais allés à Europa-Park, foncez, surtout en période de Noël. L'expérience est sans égale et vous ne serez pas déçu.
